This experimental player embeds YouTube. Loading the player sends requests to Google/YouTube, which may use cookies and process your IP address and viewing activity under their policies. The basic video player has no account requirement, analytics, camera, microphone, location access or server-side video proxy. The optional playlist feature requests read-only access to your YouTube account through Google consent on your phone. If you enable editing, Google also requests the youtube.force-ssl permission, which is broader than these two features. This app uses it only when you choose Unlike or Remove from playlist; it does not upload or delete videos or playlists. OAuth tokens are encrypted in private server storage, with the encryption key held separately from application releases. They are never sent to the glasses or stored in this app’s browser storage. The service can decrypt them to refresh your connection; encryption does not protect against a fully compromised server. Your glasses receive playlist names and video metadata over an authenticated session. Each connected device is separate. Disconnect deletes its saved server connection and attempts to revoke Google access; access can also be revoked in your Google account permissions. Confirmed connections survive server restarts and expire after 30 days without opening the library. Clearing browser cookies, revoking access or Google token expiry requires reconnection. While Google OAuth remains in Testing, refresh tokens expire after seven days. Watch Later is unavailable through the API. Playlist authorisation does not sign the video player into Google. Continue watching stores up to 12 played video IDs, titles and playback positions in this device’s browser storage for up to 30 days. This history is shared by people using this browser, stays on the device, and can be removed with Clear history. Disconnect also clears it. It does not synchronise with YouTube history or Watch Later. Hosting providers may retain access logs.
